Been new to Windows 7. Trying out R for Windows, Emacs, and ESS (Emacs Speaks Statistics), realized that i needed to modify environment variables in windows 7. Finding out the environment variables and setting HOME was not very intuitive (at least less intuitive than say vista or XP). This tutorial is a better solution.
